Blackburn Library have a host of events on throughout the month of October, including:
- Meet the Author David Hewitt
- Wednesday 18th October @ 2pm
- Blackburn Library Entry is free of charge – prebooked tickets available from the library
- David Hewitt will talk about his new book, which tells the true story of a silent film that outraged half of the country – even while the other half was queuing around the block to see it. Join him as he brings to life a gaudy, raucous, glorious world!
- The Mystery of the Blue Moon Saloon Blackburn Library
- Friday 20th October @ 7pm
- Tickets are £10 per person, tickets also available from Blackburn Library
- A comic radio play presented live on stage with the assistance of the audience

- Tickets are free, but there will be a collecting plate on the way out for voluntary donations
- Air Powered Rocket Crafting
- Mon 23rd October @ 10am
- Engineer an air-power rocket – can you land yours on the moon?

- Make a Fire Breathing Dragon
- Wednesday 25th October @ 10am-12pm
- Entry tickets (free of charge) available from Blackburn Library 2 weeks in advance
- Come and enjoy a colourful ‘cutting and sticking’ activity this half-term
