Coalesce Dance Theatre presents: Pants!

Pants! is a coming-of-age story where we discover who we are, and who we want to be.  Join in the weird and wonderful wardrobe world, as we search through this closet of cluttered memories.  Aimed at ages 14 – 21 (but open to the young at heart too), this show is a fun and sensitive exploration of self-acceptance and finding where you fit.  This striking and athletic duet is accompanied by poetry and an original music score.  With research gathered from young people in Burnley, Trafford, Blackpool and Blackburn, Coalesce have embedded these stories and experiences into this exciting new show.  There’s also a fast fashion workshop after the performance.

Thanks to friends at Spot On, and with generous funding from Arts Council England, BL are able to offer two performances of Pants! this month, see details below.  Tickets for both performances cost £5 per head, and are available from the relevant library or online from the Spot On website: Spot On Lancashire.  Unfortunately they are not able to accept reservations for these shows without payment.

Thursday 28th March, 6 pm, Blackburn Central Library, tel: 01254 661221, email: library@blackburn.gov.uk.

Happy World Book Day!: 7th March 2024

As in previous years, a limited number of World Book Day tokens are available from Blackburn with Darwen Libraries on a first come, first served basis, only while stocks last.  The tokens can be exchanged for one of the special edition £1 World Book Day books, or will entitle the holder to £1 off any other book or audiobook worth £2.99 or more at participating retailers only, and are valid until 31st March 2024.  Please note that the tokens are for children (age under 18), no more than one token is available per child, and children need to visit the library to collect their tokens (rather than sending someone else to collect them for them).
