  • Managing Blackburn BID social media channels and creating content

Approximately £80k investment is made on creating a safer, more secure Blackburn town centre each year, including:

  • Funding 2 town centre police officers in partnership with Blackburn with Darwen Council
  • Delivering targeted security patrols
  • Funding and supporting the Blackburn Businesses Against Crime (BBAC) crime reduction partnership and DISC information sharing system
  • Working in partnership to deliver crime prevention and reduction initiatives

Approximately £40k investment is made on making the town centre environment cleaner, greener and more sustainable, including:

  • Supporting the multi award-winning Blackburn partnership, Blackburn In Bloom.
  • Growing Places community planting projects.
  • The Tree Buddy project, working with volunteers to develop and lead urban tree walks around the town centre.
  • Adoption of Blackburn Train Station to deliver environmental improvements.
  • Showcasing the town centre’s green spaces through illustrated maps, guided and self-led walks.
